Description

Google Tag Manager is a user-friendly solution to managing the tags, or the snippets of JavaScript that send information to third-parties, on your website or mobile app. Adding other products to your site, including but not limited to AdWords Conversion Tracking and Remarketing, DoubleClick Floodlight, and of course, Google Analytics, is a breeze. GTM makes your life easier by simplifying the process of adding these JavaScript snippets to your website. Instead of updating code on your website, you use the interface to decide what needs to fire and on what page or what action. GTM then adds the appropriate tracking to your site to make sure it all works. Account Configuration > Create new GTM container if necessary > Create new GA Property if necessary > Creating several new views within that property. Typically 1 per subdomain but at minimum: Rollup, Staging, and Raw >Provide guidance on where to add Google Tag Manager tags and where to remove hard-coded Google Analytics code if necessary Google Analytics View Configuration Each view, except for Raw, will follow best practices by having a set of filters to clean up and standardize the data: >Remove internal traffic (IP range must be provided by client) >Remove query parameters >Remove bots >Lowercase all campaign related variables (Source, Medium, Campaign, Term, Content) >Lowercase all event related variables (Category, Action, Label) >Setup internal site search tracking Setup Standard Events in GTM and Create Goals in GA >Phone # Click >Email Click >Outbound Links Click >Social Link Click - Separate from Outbound Link Click >Video Interactions (Youtube / Vimeo / Wistia) >Scroll Tracking >Downloads (PDF, Excel, PPT, Word) I can also create custom events depending on your needs, the above is what is done for all clients.

3
Service Packages are the only way to directly strike up a discovery, scoping, pricing and contract negotiation with any MeasureMatch Expert (otherwise, a project brief needs to be submitted).
