The Salesforce Foundation Report ensures clients have the appropriate foundation upon which to build their Salesforce initiative. Throughout this engagement we evaluate, diagnose and benchmark five fundamental areas. These five areas provide the underlying infrastructure that ensures project success, sustainability and scale. While each topic is independent, their levels of maturity are interconnected and help to inform where a client is on their journey with Salesforce. With this insight we create a tactical roadmap that is pragmatic and specific to the client ensuring their Salesforce platform success. During the engagement we will provide an assessment around the following topics: Business & IT: FOCUS: How do Business Units make decisions about Salesforce initiatives and how effectively is IT set up and aligned to execute these decisions. Investment & Funding Model: FOCUS: How is a client’s current structure to properly capture requirements and deliver on new initiatives. We also review how funding managed. Specifically, is funding split between divisions, are charge backs leveraged, is funding done per initiative or by way of a capacity model? How is funding for the daily operation sustained? Agility & DevOps: We review the client’s architecture, data management capabilities and DevOps methodologies. This includes the ability to define and align architectural governance, design principles and best practices to support the appropriate Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). From these findings we also advise the client on their use of Waterfall, Agile or SAFe methodologies and provide tactical next steps and recommended timeframes. Change, Culture & Expertise: We evaluate if the best people are in the right position with the appropriate skills in order to fulfill the business objectives of Salesforce. This includes reviewing the client’s ability to acquire, maintain and upgrade Salesforce skills. Data & Architecture We review the client’s org footprint and ownership structure around who has access and control to what orgs. We also cover Data and Data Governance activities. In our assessment we review history, usage, ongoing development and how changes are prioritized within the larger Salesforce ecosystem.
