I have been working in marketing and data for over 7 years starting in advising retailers on their digital performance through Google Analytics and Tableau visualisations on their online catalogue performance I soon realised the power of using Data to drive decision making. Then moving into a data consultancy, selling and managing GA 360 enterprise solutions to clients across Australia in the financial, food and beverage as well as insurance and retail space including working on custom attribution modelling projects I soon realised that there existed a gap in the market. Whilst technical expertise are found more and more in outsourced environments and companies are bringing it internally there exists a lack of understanding of how to bring together technical expertise to meet business objectives, particularly in the realm of data analytics. This ever widening gap is leading to increased wastage on spend and underutilisation of existing technologies. The main value comes from translating business requirements to meaningful technical implementations and then getting customers to utilise whatever has been implemented through training and thorough understanding. I believe there is a missing human element in understanding individuals and their pain points that is often overlooked in any implementation which I see as an industry trend in SME's and enterprises across Australia. Since starting my own consultancy in 2017 I have worked with various companies in the SME an enterprise space from government, food and beverage, non for profit, e-sports, online betting and retail to not only help overcome this problem but also to help them better understand their customer behaviour and improve their service offering using data gathered from their Google Analytics platform and surrounding databases.
