The Challenges

Previously, Mascot Online was dealing with CSV data coming daily from various sales channels. Every source had a unique structure that was not manipulable. To solve for this, Mascot Online decided to use Tableau to integrate data sources and enable cross-source reporting. Their aim was to create importing logic that led to up to date data and automated reporting.

The Solution

The Result

Justin B worked closely with Mascot Online over a short period, developing an automated data pipeline which moved data sets from the sales channels used by the company into a GDS BigQuery data warehouse. He then cleaned and aggregated data, making it possible to leverage it using data visualization tools. Justin provided training to relevant stakeholders across the organization and taught selected users how to use BigQuery to build powerful reports in Tableau quickly.
