MeasureMatch Product Update Q4 2019

20th December 2019
4 minute read

It was another full quarter. Our ambitious product roadmap took another leap forward!

Here's what we added to the MeasureMatch platform across October, November and December of 2019.

New Expert Account Navigation

We're always looking for ways to improve the customer experience, and one area which we identified for improvement was the navigation experience.

We've just released a new top-level navigation design which makes it easier and faster to go from place to place. This new design is currently for Expert account holders only. Client and Vendor accounts will be updated soon ;-).

Included with this redesign was some important and deep-dive refactoring to improve responsiveness and speed, so Expert account holders will absolutely find the experience much smoother!

Project Brief Submission Process Improvement

If you've created a project before via MeasureMatch, you'll know our orientation was focused on deliverables-based, project work.

While this kind of project work is still core to our service - and this is the model we expect clients will continue to select most of the time - we've added an option for clients to clarify a service provider preference that is not deliverables-specific.

For example, if a client needs help on an ongoing basis, spread across multiple weeks/months and, importantly, across several types of tasks and deliverables which aren't easily defined up front, the 'ad hoc or retainer" option is now available.

This helps prospective service providers to more clearly understand what each client needs.

Vendors Can Publicly Share Their Service Packages

In the 3rd quarter of 2019, we released the functionality for technology vendors to package up common service requests into 1-pagers called Service Packages.

These Service Packages can now be easily shared off-platform by clicking the "Share URL" button.

Service Providers Can Initiate Projects & Proposals

It's now super easy for service providers who have completed contracts with clients [the via MeasureMatch platform] to open up new project & proposal conversations.

Inside an Expert account's Messages, simply press the "Start a new project" button, go through the steps to open up a new project and proposal.

It didn't take long for this functionality to add value - we saw a consultant submit a proposal to a long-standing client via this route the day after we released it.

Clients Can Submit A Project Brief & Sign Up At The Same Time

This has been a game changer for us. We were seeing around 50% of new clients submitting project briefs - after their Client accounts had been approved.

Now, we're seeing not only a lift in Client account applications, but around 85% of applications are coming in WITH project briefs, the vast majority of which are approved; the steps are a little involved, so those folks who get to the end are truly committed to the process.

That's a taste of our Q4 2019 commitment to quality. Tell us what you think. We'd love to know.

We've got heaps of exciting developments on the way, so keep your eyes peeled.

Thank you,

Tom
