As founder of a newly created analytics and CRO consultancy, my biggest barrier in gaining client work is relevancy and timing; while reaching out to a potential client is relatively straightforward, often they are not hot prospects. The result is either no response, or a pleasant and interesting conversation, but no work. The process of gaining clients, while essential, can be a time-consuming process. As someone in the early stages of their consultancy career, ensuring productivity is heavily weighted towards paid work is critical.
